Working at Believe and Bikini

Over the past week I have been working as a runner for Believe Media and Bikini Music Videos. The experience gave me an insight into how the industry of video production works on a practical level. My roles included making sure that everyone in the company was taken care of with food and drink, maintaining the office and also answering telephone calls. I also took part in the research process for a Laura Pritchard music video.

It was important to find images that helped to create visuals to accompany the story line of each shot. This is what is then called the "treatment" and is then pitched to potential directors which would be best suited for that particular shoot.

On Friday I was working with the crew for the APB Human Avatar Video. In which Josh, the human avatar was getting a piercing which the general public had chosen. It gave me the chance to see how the sound operator and production team worked on set.
