Curiosity

We have all seen the intelligently thought out campaigns created by The Economist magazine. This image is very different from the others I have seen. It focuses on the typography just as much as everything else. From the previous messages I have seen from them they tend to rely on the image or very clever copy.

The typography looks unstable and unbalanced. Perfectly reflecting the message. The type looks almost similar to that of Stanley Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange". Which was a surprise when used for the straight laced brand like The Economist.

It is refreshing that a brand as identifiable as The Economist are not happy to stay in their comfort zone.

Beautifully designed in it's simplicity 'The Economist' adverts are always extremely clever and this tower of typography balancing uneasily as the person stretches making you feel like it may fall over is perfectly set up.
