Nike Running Battle

This was a viral campaign from Nike last year. It was designed to launch a new technology which allowed you, when running with a small micro-chip in the heel of your trainer, to measure your distance.

This technology was given away free of charge to students at University. To make this campaign more effective they also handed Nike Plus equipment out to rival Universities such as Leeds Univers
ity vs Leeds Metropolitan and Oxford vs Cambridge.

This was all created to ensure a Nike Running Battle, University student's would compete with their peers from rival Universities to see who could run the further distance over a 7 day period. Each University's progress could even be monitored on Facebook.

The campaign used  rivalry to drive the campaign, it got people talking a launched the product in a very positive way. It was a great success, I was even part of it.
